Need help creating a Dropdown filter with options

    Hello,

I would appreciate if someone can guide me or tell me the steps for how to do the following:

Attached is the spreadsheet as an example...At the end of the sheet there is a small summary which I want to be populated with the numbers when I select the project(project name in Row B) from a filter which needs to be created. So basically what I am trying to achieve here is :1) creating a drop down menu will all the project names. 2) Once I have the drop down menu with all project names, once I pick project from the menu..the summary table (see column L-N) will populate automatically.

Hopefully I have explained it well.

    Thanks

Here's a template that I believe should be helpful for what you're trying to accomplish.

Thanks...in this case all of my projects are on the same page or sheet rather in different tabs...how do I change the formula to look at the project name and then bring the sum value from the cell. row will be the same but column will change...

You said project names are in Row B, but rows have numbers and columns have letters. Where is the project names? And where specifically do you want the dropdown menu?

Okay, I wasn't sure which cells had the numbers you wanted to pull for every line in your summary table, so I just did a few of the first ones. You'll need to fill in the rest of the correct line numbers in column M (I did M14, M18, and M19, which are highlighted in blue). Then you can hide that column. Then you can copy down the formulas in Column O that are highlighted in blue for the rest of the table. Should achieve what you're trying to accomplish.

The list for the dropdown in L12 starts in cell A150. You can hide those rows if you'd like as well.
