    VLOOKUP function

I have read about VLOOKUP function but I am confused about it because it describes it as if this function only returns first result it encounters(which means one result). What I am trying to match multiples and do something like this...

    Col 1 Rescolum Col 2 Col 3 Col 4 Col 5 Col 6
    1111 blue M 7777 Sun x
    2222 red S 1111 Mon y
    3333 pink D 8888 Tue z
    4444 green F 9999 Fri a
    5555 white G 3333 Sat b

As you can see my values Col 1 and Col 4 would be columns to match. I would like to insert results in ResColumn and therefore after function is run I would have something like this.....

    Col 1 Rescolum Col 2 Col 3 Col 4 Col 5 Col 6
    1111 1111 blue M 7777 Sun x
    2222 red S 1111 Mon y
    3333 3333 pink D 8888 Tue z
    4444 green F 9999 Fri a
    5555 white G 3333 Sat b

    or ideally

    Col 1 Rescolum Col 2 Col 3 Col 4 Col 5 Col 6
    1111 1111 Mon y blue M 7777 Sun x
    2222 red S 1111 Mon y
    3333 3333 Sat b pink D 8888 Tue z
    4444 green F 9999 Fri a
    5555 white G 3333 Sat b

I used this tutorial http://www.extendoffice.com/document...o-columns.html to get first solution but would someone point me to tutorial to get ideal solution for me please.
