Formula to look at two columns, reference two others, then list a code for each cell

I have a spreadsheet with a column listing Lengths and another listing Widths. I need help building a formula that will look at the lengths and depths, then auto-generate which machine code the item goes to. If you look at my attached spreadsheet I have a little table in the top right listing-out the minimum lengths and widths for each machine. I would like the formula to choose the machine with the smallest sizes. For an example, in row 4 in L4 I would like it to generate code 701, even though it could also work for machine code 142. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Since of the three machines, code 701 has the smallest requirements for both parameters, a formula looking for "least parameters above minimum" would always deiver "Code 701" or whatever error you want for no matches; only those two results.

In that case it's just an IF(AND) test... are there maybe more machines, or other parameters? How extensable do you need this function to be?

As of right now there are three machines. There will be up to 2 others added to the list within the next month or so. No more than 5 machines max. I just need the function/formula to list the smallest machine code (right now either 701, 142 or 144) that the item can fit on. Could you perhaps help me with building the formula? Thanks very much btw. I have been tinkering for hours with this. :|
