    Drop-down list help

    Hi there,

I am in need of some help with drop-down lists. I am trying to create a bracket in excel.

I have my first section complete, but am having trouble limiting the options for the next rounds.

For example, for the first section I have four options for each cell (2 total).

Let's say the first cell has: Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4. The second cell has TeamA, TeamB, TeamC, TeamD.

What I am trying to do is that when 1 team from each cell is selected (for example, Team1 and TeamA), I am trying to create a new drop-down list where the only options will be Team1 and TeamA.

I have tried simply selecting the two original cells (the ones with 4 values in each cell) as the source but am getting an error.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks

If I understand you right then you have to include the cell where you select the teams in next round .. but can you post the workbook then I can take a look how you select the teams in next round

    Re: Drop-down list help

Basically where you see Team 1 and Team A, they were each selected out of a list of 4 teams. Now since they 'play' each other, I want to be able to only have Team 1 and Team A as the options for the next cell. Same goes for Team B and Team 2, etc.

Now if I simply select the two previous cells for the new one as the source, I get this error: You may not use unions intersections or array constants for data validation criteria.

Unfortunately I am not sure where to go from there/what to do.
