formulas change when I add a row...help

I am trying to do something that I think is simple yet I just can't seem to figure this out. I am trying to tally totals of a number of rows and add a new row every day. The top 7 and 30 rows in column b. the basic formula would be in my case B1=sum(b5:b11) and b2=sum(b5:b34) however, when I insert a new row at b5 the formula changes to b1=sum(b6:b12) and b2=sum(b6:b34). I want the original formula to always calculate the top 7 and 30 sums. I hope this is a good explanation and a simple answer that is just eluding me. please help, I would be very grateful.

Put dollar signs in front of your row numbers of your code like above.

My apologies, I should have mentioned I tried that and yet the formula still changes to b1=sum(b$6:b$11) etc..

I think I have attached my worksheet hopefully this helps. It is basically a running total of the last 7 and 30 days in e-transfers used to ensure we are below our banking limits, or more importantly how close we are to the limits.
