Hey guys, I am having an issue where I am attempting to do something and it is taking a loooong time.....so I am hoping you guys can help.

I have a pivot that pulls together data and I have to report each activity for each person within a task....I've been using concatinate to do this, but it takes an extremely long time. I was hooping that you guys can see something that I am not.

I'm not sure what you mean. Could you fill in the expected result in some of the cells?

Agree with Jacc, your question is a bit hazy

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Ok, maybe my example was a little hazy sorry...i have a better example here I think...but instead of just the first teo, it will need to be the whole list....basicaly a way to merge the activites into one cell....with out having to concatinate every time.

Re: come up with another option to concatinate

That helps, thanks

Maybe this, in D4, copied down?
=IF(B4="",D3&"-"&C4,C4)

If you dont want the "progression" shown, then use the above in D, then add this in E4, copied down...
=IF(B5="","",D4)

Then hide column D
