Return month and year from pivot table

Hello all,

I have an issue with returning data from a pivot table.

The pivot table is set to group in months and years, I can get an index/ match to return the month.

However, I require month and year, is that possible?

So if the highest value is in June 2010, it will return June bit not the year.

Hope that makes sense, would post an example but using my phone atm.

I advice you to use the orignal data to achieve that.

In the pivot table you could also use the option max (in the value box) to get the highest value.

Unfortunately that won't work, I can't use the original data because of how it's setup.

I have at the moment =INDEX((Pivots!F:F),MATCH(MAX(Pivots!G:G),Pivots!G:G,0))

This works OK and returns the month but the pivot table is grouped by months and years, so I need it to get the year as well.

Attach a sample workbook as requested by oeldere in post#4. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
