Hello everyone, I am using Excel 2010.
I don't use Excel much, so please consider this a "newbie" question.
My spreadsheet has a group of cells that have numbers in them. I want Excel to find the largest number in those cells, and place that number in another cell.
For example, let's say the group of cells take up columns A-H and rows 2-10.
(The first row, of course, is the header row.)
I want Excel to find the highest number in that section, and place the highest number in Cell K2 just as an example.
For instance, if a group of cells looked like this:
43 45 42 38 44 44 44 41
42 46 30 27 44 46 47 42
44 43 42 45 49 48 44 46
The largest number would be 49.
What function(s) do I use for this? Thank you.
Oh, one other thing: If the largest number is located in several cells, would the Excel function still work?
Thank you! J. Danniel
