Increasing the exponent by one per cell

Hi.

A beginner question since I'm fairly new to excel but I'm trying to create a formula that would increase the exponent by one per cell but just can't figure it out. The cells would go like this:

A1: a number
A2: $A$1^1
A3: $A$1^2
A4: $A$1^3

etc.

Can this be achieved somehow?
