Exclamation Excel IF formula with two dates as condition

I need to write a formula that looks at two dates; one being todays date and one being the start of a leave cycle.

the formula needs to calculate that if the difference between the two dates exceeds or equals 3 years, the balance in the one column needs to be 30.

is there anyone that can help?

The above will work, providing there are no leap-years in between. The below should work, regardless. In this case, it assumes A1 has todays date and A2 has the date you are comparing. If you are not sure how to always have today's date in A1, simply put
    Formula: copy to clipboard

In the cell making the calculation, paste the following

    Formula: copy to clipboard

A long old formula, but it should do the job
