Experiment results need ranking using if function with multiple conditions, help please?

There are 5 conditions i need to use to rank my results, these are the instructions

In an adjacent column in Excel, calculate the number of “Rule of 5 violations”. - Aim to do this in a single column by adding up a series of “IF” functions to test whether each column (or the sum of several columns) violates the associated “Rule of 5”. (Take a look at the Lipinski rules & you will be able to work it out … you can see the format for the IF statement by clicking on the “function” button.)

the rules are
Lipinski found that poor absorption or permeation of a drug is more likely when:
 Molecular weight > 500 amu
 Log P > 5
 No. of H-bond donors > 5
 No. of H-bond acceptors > 10
Scigress can be used to calculate each of these properties:
 No. of H-bond donors can be modelled by: - OH (hydroxyl) - NH2 (amine) - NH- (secondary amine)
 No. of H-bond acceptors can be modelled by: - O atoms - N atoms

So my results are for each rules, molecular weight, log p, etc so how can how would i use an if function to rank the results? see attachment. absorption.xlsx

Hi, welcome to the forum

Forum rules require you to wait at least a day before "bumping" your thread to the top of the list (let alone 2 minutes?). Besides, many members will only look at threads that have no replies, by bumping your thread, it now shows as having a "reply"

OK, having said that, To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards
Ford
