Drag across columns and have formula

    Hi All-

I am looking for an answer to something that seems relatively simple. I have a formula that I would like to drag across horizontally or across the columns and have it increase or change in a similar fashion to if I was to drag vertically.

In cell B2 I have the formula =RANK(Results!B3,Results!B3:Results!F3)

When I drag horizontally I would like it to change to
    =RANK(Results!B4,Results!B4:Results!F4)
    =RANK(Results!B5,Results!B5:Results!F5)
    =RANK(Results!B6,Results!B6:Results!F6)
    etc....

I have tried several different things, such as Paste Special and Transpose, adding $'s to make the formula absolute and lots of Google searching.

Hope I was clear. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Re: Drag across columns and have formula

Thanks so much for responding! I think this could work, however the function RANK is no longer there and I need that to happen. I'd like the formula to take the rank of 5 cells and have that value but I want to be able to drag across to have the formula increase by row numbers only. I guess I'm just looking for a quicker way to copy and paste across the rows without having to manually enter the row numbers.

    Thank you!

I thought you needed to grab values in transposed array.

I have added rank formula in the same file and now i think the problem is solved.

    Hope it will help.

    regards,
    giorgi
