Question I need formula or macro to filter a number of items from different tables at single filter

    Hi There,

I have a common items in a various tables(same sheet). I need to filter that common items from the various tables at a single filter rather that filtering again and again in each table.

For Eg., In the attachment - If i need to filter the details of "YYYYYY(2564928) project from all the tables at a single time what I need to do?

Please find the attachment for sample data and expecting result.

    Thanks for your support!

Personally I'd simplify this task by having a single database.

Identify all the unique field names from your existing tables and create a new table that contains all these fields, Add a new field which will contain a value that identifies the current tables so that you can then filter for the individual table records. i.e. this new field would contain values like
    Rate
    Head Count
    Hours
    SOW Mapping

Not all records of course would contain a value in every column.

Thank you so much Richard but still I have some clarifications. It is not possible to create a single table that contain all the validations because the 1st table contains a project name at multiple times but the next table contains a project name only one time and also it validates the different values. So kindly tell me any other idea to simplify this task by not combining all the tables. Actually I need to filter the every table by using the project name as common.

    Thanks,

It is possible to create a single table. You are maybe misunderstanding the point. All you need is to ensure you have a unique name for each DIFFERENT field. For instance the Project ID appears in all tables so you only need one field. Ditto the Project Name etc.. The validations you have are the same in all tables so I don;t see why you see a problem with a validation in a single table.

I'm attaching in sheet 3 your tables combined into a single table.
