Choosing which field to fill in without circular refernece

    I have the following situation:

    Column A: Weight
    Column B: Cost
    Column C: Total Cost

I need to be able to input sometimes the value in Column B and sometimes in Column C.
When the value is inputted in Column B it has to do A * B, when the value is filled in in column C, it has to do C / A.

Obviously when I do that by simply filling in formulas I get a circular reference problem.

So, what would be the best way to do it?

    Thanks

Not that I am aware of. A cell has a value, or a formula, not both.
