    Calculating shift coverage with transition

    Hello,

I am trying to create a template where we can potentially add work shifts and they will automatically be counted on a separate table, which will allow me to see coverage on a 24x7 period with 1 hour increments. I am capable of counting shift coverage in regards to "how many staff do we have from X time to Y time", however... that gets complicated when there is a transition from the previous day.
For example, if someone on a tuesday starts at 22:00 and ends at 07:00, that person should be counted on the coverage of tuesday from 22:00 to 00:00 and on the coverage of wednesday from 00:00 to 07:00.
I am not super smart when it comes to excel... most of what i know i learned from google, so go easy on me
I attached the current spreadsheet if that helps

    Thank you in uphand

Just as a thought, have you considered having 2 sets of START/STOP times, allowing for an AM and PM start?
