    Rounding up numbers

    I would like to round up a number that will give an answer 4 if less than for and the answer 5 if greater than 4 and 0 if greater than 5

    Re: Rounding up numbers

    =IF(REFERENCE<=4,4,IF(REFERENCE>5,0,5))

    IF the reference is less than or equal to 4 than be 4, otherwise if it is greater than 5 be 0, otherwise just be 5 (As all that would be left is 4 through 5)

    Corrections in BOLD good one Glenn - I am assuming the perfect 5 should be 5 so how it is written would have the desired or intended outcome.

    Re: Rounding up numbers

    Only thing that just may be missing are what do you want to happen when the value is EXACTLY equal to four and five?? If you want them to be 4 & 5 - then the solution at #2 works perfectly.
