    Conditional Formatting

    Hi

I am trying to copy a conditional formatting formula from a cell down a column, but it keeps referencing itself back to the original cell. I can remove the $ signs in the formula but I cant seem to remove them from the cell I first copied it from so keeps referencing back to that one.

Is there a way to disable the $ referencing? I have a large number to do so I don't want to do them individually.

    Many thanks

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    Hello,

Try this: Select the whole column, then show the formatting rules for the selection. Delete all rules, except the ones for row 8. Edit the formula for row 8 to be

    =$AO8="yes"

    and

    =$AO8="no"

Then change the "Applies To" Range to the whole column R.

    cheers, teylyn
