Lookup Range of Names, Return Hours by Day

Hi, Struggling with what formula i should be using. I have attached a file displaying what I am after.

I need to lookup a list of staff names, and return how many hours in total the group of them are doing by day according to the roster. The group will either be broken into Day/Night staff etc, or potentially a task.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
