COUNTIF with 2 different sets of multiple criteria?

Hi guys, been stuck on this for a while now, any advice would be appreciated! (EXAMPLE attached)

The column "Child Count" must return 1 if:

    1. Child is under brand name A or B and is older than 1 but younger than 13

    2. Child is under brand name C and is older than 1 but younger than 12

Originally in the child count column I put the formula:

    =COUNTIFS(F2,">1", F2,"<13")

...but of course this only counts children for Brands A and B.
