Edit column letters in Conditional formatting

Is it possible to edit the column letters in conditional formatting? I have approximately 40 different rules of CF that all do the same thing except they are in different columns. I know I can copy and paste the formatting but it does not paste the new column letter instead I have to go back into the CF and change all the letters one at a time and would like to be able to do them all at once like when you do a find and select to replace different letters or numbers on a spread sheet

    Cheers

Instead of copy/pasting, have you tried to extend the range of the CF in the Applies To window?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

bebo's suggestion will work well for the copy/paste, but if you increase the CF Applies To range, you wont need to copy/paste

Thanks FD, I did increase the range as well but that seems to adjust fine except for the range. Now, that does not make sense LOL, If I copy and the range is say 50 rows and move to an area I need 75 I have to increase the range to 75. Are you saying if I take the $ out of the range it will adjust accordingly too?

No, the range in the Applies To, will always have $, even if you remove them. What I am saying is, it might beeasier to adjust the range, rather than copy/paste. But if teh Copy/Paste is working for you, then maybe stay with that - whatever works for you

CF becomes very resource-heavy is used extensively, try to restrict the ranges to just what you need, and try to avoid full-column ranges
