INDEX / MATCH - need help with something...please

    Hi everyone
I have a problem that I think Index Match will help me with but I'm not 100% sure

In the attached spreadsheet, this is what I need:

If the value in Column A is found in Column C, it copies the price value in Column D into the right place in Column B alongside the correct reference.
    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers

Enter this formula in B2 and copy down

    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,$C$2:$D$556,2,0),"")

    Did this work for you?

    Hey
    Thanks again
Could you explain what that formula means / does?
Just so I can learn....it's going to be very handy for me going forward! But I would like to learn what it does.
I've used VLOOKUP before but not the other function and obviously not both combined!!
    Cheers

The IFERROR just tells Excel that if that if there is an error or no data; so you don't get an #N/A message, to leave the result empty, which is the empty double quotes.
