Question Figuring out if you are late or not based on a start date

    Hello,

I am trying to be proactive with tasks that we have. There is a start date and there are several stops along the way. If I have a start date of 1/1/2015 and I have 7 stops, how can I figure out if you are late getting to the first stop if you are supposed to be there in 7 days. I want to turn that cell Yellow. Sometimes though, stops are skipped. So you can stop at 1st stop on 1/6/2015 and you are on time. You can skip 4 stops and the next stop you have is stop 5. You needed to be there in 24 days. So if I started on the 1st and I get to the 5 stop on 1/28/2015, you are late. I want to highlight that cell.

I am attaching my file with a couple of examples.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    RJL3313

I have understood the first part of your problem....and the second one i.e. skipping the stops, I guess one day is subtracted if a stop is skipped
    Is it so?

I don't see a 24 anywhere in your example. Why does the driver have 24 days to get to the 5th stop when he skips? Is there a formula behind this?

Thank you so much. I am goign to play around with this but at first glance, it seems to answer the problem. As for the 24 days, it was suposed to be 27 days (just pulled from the excel file) sorry for the confusion.

To all that responded, thank you so much for such quick responses!!!
