Showing next value in a column on successive sheets

I don't know if the title of this is very descriptive or not. Truth is, I'm not all that great with Excel, but a co-worker asked for my help and I suppose this stumped me.

We have an Excel doc that has a number of raw data columns in the first sheet, then each sheet after that represents a project billing for a client. So a cell in sheet 2 references the value from cell C5 in sheet 1. Sheet 3 (which would be copied from sheet 2) the same cell should reference the value from cell C6 in sheet 1. The corresponding cell in sheet 4 would reference the value from C7 on sheet 1, and so on and so forth.

My co-worker has been modifying the references manually on each sheet that she creates, but I think we should be able to modify that. However, I have run aground with everything I've tried.

    thanks

Can you upload a sample workbook that shows how your data is setup?

Re: Showing next value in a column on successive sheets

Obviously I can't share the actual document to to confidentiality concerns, but I've created a simplified version for this purpose.

The RawData sheet contains "Budget" column that will be used in the other sheets. The remaining sheets show a "Budget" row referencing a value from the RawData sheet. Note that each successive sheet references the next line in the "Budget" column of the RawData sheet. For instance, the 980001 sheet references "RawData!A2", 981555 references "RawData!A3", 981562 references "RawData!A4", etc.

I understand it's easy enough to make these changes on each sheet with one column, but in the actual document, there are 10-12 fields that need to be changed.

Any assistance you can give is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Unfortunately, since there is no row quantifier next to any of the budgets on the sheets to be updated, I cannot think of an easy way this can be done using formulas. I suggest cross posting this to the VBA subforum; I'm fairly certain this can be done relatively easily using VBA.

Yea, I kind of thought this may be a VBA solution, but I wanted to make sure it couldn't be done easier.

    thanks
