    "Vlookup" and "left" formulas

    Hello,

I have a list of 6-digit codes assigned to different items organized by mayor, minor and subcategories. The first 2 digits represent a mayor category, the next 2 digits represent a minor category and the last 2 digits represent the sub-category.

I would like to type the whole 6-digit code and get all mayor, minor and subcategory descriptions for the code. (FILE ATTACHED).

I've been trying with vlookup and left with no success. Any help is very much welcome!

    Thanks!

One way, for a single formula:

    Drag across and down.
