I have a sheet with a lot of different times. I need any times OVER 0:30 to be RED and I need 0:30 and lower to be green

    Re: Conditional format time

You need to set 2 conditions.

Highlight cells, click 'Conditional Formatting' choose 'Greater than or equal to', set the value as '00:30' - set the colour of choice
Highlight cells, click 'Conditional Formatting' choose 'Less Than', set the value as '00:29:59' - set the colour of choice

    Hope that helps

Go into conditional formatting, create a new rule under format only cells that contain.

Select cell value, and then greater than or equal to, or whatever qualifier best suits your needs, enter your time value as then click on the format... button and go to fill and select the color you want.

Create a second rule for the same data area that covers the other value sets and color you want.

The problem here is that there are empty cells, and I need it to leave empty cells blank, and format only the cells with numbers in the table

    Re: Conditional format time

In that case, choose the option for 'Between' and again set two conditions

    Re: Conditional format time

Change the rule so that it has to be between 0:01 and 0:30 to be green

    Re: Conditional format time

    You could create three rules:
    1. Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
then under Select a Rule Type select Format only cells that contain
under Edit the Rule Description select Cell Value from the Format only cells with dropdown, and greater than from the next dropdown, and enter 0.30 in the last field
then format this to have the cells shaded with red fill.
    2. Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
under Select a Rule Type select Format only cells that contain
under Edit the Rule Description select Cell Value from the Format only cells with dropdown, and less than or equal to from the next dropdown, and enter 0.30 in the last field
then format this to have the cells shaded with green fill.
    3. Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
under Select a Rule Type select Format only cells that contain
under Edit the Rule Description select Blanks from the Format only cells with dropdown
then format those cells to have no fill.
