Hello All,
I want to create a sheet metal gauge calculator and i'm not finding anything online apart from charts, which are very useful but what I want is to simply enter either a thickness into a cell and I am then given the appropriate gauge as a result, or vice versa. Any suggestions?

Check F2 and G2 carefully - just to make sure I've got the formula working in the right direction - if the thickenss is larger than the exact match of the gaige - select the next thickest gauge...
Thank you so much Glenn, that's exactly what I wanted to achieve. I'll paint it up and make it look sweet. If you can send any tips for how you did it, so I can use it on other conversions, that would be very much appreciated but no worries if not. Huge thanks again . !!!!

Best way is to Google INDEX MATCH Excel and see what you get. The only difference between them is the gauge to thickness has a ,0)) at the end - it's looking for an exact mactch. The other one has a -1)) which means make intermediates match to the next higher value.
