I am currently using this formula to compare data between sheets to find out if there is a match or not. =IF(LOOKUP(A3,SHEET2!C:C)=A3,"MATCH","NO MATCH"). I am a bit of a newb to excel so this is all pretty new to me. This formula was given to me by a former employee so im not sure if it is the best one for my needs. basically I need the formula to search a specific column on the sheet I specify and indicate if there is a "match" or "no match". The issue I'm having is that sometimes it works great and sometimes it doesn't. I usually never get a false match but I frequently get "no match" when I can manually determine there is a match. And yes the data was an exact match and I tried to make sure the cell formatting was the same also. The format of the values are not consistent but I wouldn't think that would matter just thought it might be relevant. I feel like the formula works but some small issue is messing with it. I can create a new document and just make up some numbers and everything works fine. Any help and suggestions are appreciated. Please be very clear with any formula suggestions as I am very new to excel and have had no training on it.... Thanks in advance!
