    Array formula turning my final figure into a minus value

    Hi I have an array formula that works great

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    I then want to take this number from a value in X8

    So I thought the formuala should be

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    However the value is -XXX rather than XXX

    Any thoughts

    Move x8 in front and outside the Sum...

    = X8 - Sum((.....

    Hi, tried that, it unfortunately does not work. the value returned is actually then added to the value of X8

    X8 has a normal value of 240. My attempt shows -232 your method comes in at 248.
