    =IF([@Review]<>"",VALUE(LEFT([@Review],1)),0) Explaination.

    Hi there,

I am a beginner to Excel and would appreciate any help. I found this formula =IF([@Review]<>"",VALUE(LEFT([@Review],1)),0) in Excel Template "Movie List".
My question is what does [@..] mean? Whenever we input "5 stars, 4 stars, etc", the output will be equivalent 5, 4 star shapes. It is the best if you can give me clear explanation of the whole formula.

    Thank you so much!!!

    Hi,

That happens when you format a Dataset as an Excel Table. An Excel Table has a slightly different nomenclature.

Check out the link to understand more about it..

And also this link to answer you original question of the significance of @ -

Excel automatically changes #This Row specifiers to the shorter @ specifier in tables that have more than one row of data. But if your table has only one row, Excel doesn’t replace the #This Row specifier
