Formula to produce list based on data table

Hi

I am trying to prodcue a table that will list a set of people who are not in on a specifc day

The source data sheet has a list of names across the top and dates down the side, with corresponding entries showing holiday etc in the cells in the main body.

What I am trying to do from that is have a seperate table that just shows a week at a time with the dates at the top (this is based on a dropdown list of dates) and a list of those people who have an enty in the main table for those corresponding dates listed underneath.

I think this might need some sort of array formula, and they always confuse me!

sorry but I am still not able to understand your request......there is some data in different color....do you also want to count that??

yes, anything that is in the first tab denotes some type of day off, so that needs to be shown in the second table, the colours are just code to indicate what they are
