    Conditional Formatting and Priority Lists

    Hello all,

I am going to try and explain this the best I can but if it is not good enough please let me know and I will try to expand on it.

In column A, I have three letters that are different colors. R is red, N is blue, and E is black. What I am needing is to be able to have the entire rows font change color based on the Column A letter. I have been able to change the rows font color to one color but I think the priorites list is not allowing me to change to the other colors. Does that make sense and if it does, is it possible to do or does the priority list only allow me to do one color.

    Thank you for the help.

    Hello
Select your range of cells, here beginning in A1 and apply the CF formula:

Format font Red. And repeat for 'N':

    Format font Blue.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you, I figured that part out. What I am having a problem with is when the R is in Column A I need that entire row font to be red. Then the next row it is N in column A, so I need the entire row to be blue. The same for the E and black. Thanks for the help.

If you select the entire row and enter the above CF formulas all the cells in that row will change font colour depending upon the value of the cells in each row in column A.
