    Scanning to Excel

    Hi All,

We have a situation where we have to monitor inventory counts. I was wondering if there is a way to restrict an Excel sheet so that it can only accept data that is scanned electronically into the excel sheet, but restrict the counters ability to edit it or make changes. If anyone can help help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    David

    Re: Scanning to Excel

    Hi DramlaKhan,

    Welcome to the forum.

I am not sure whether this could be possible in EXCEL but chances are you can go ahead with VBA for this part. As per my knowledge, Excel does not have this function to restrict some entry basis on electronic scanned. I hope you get what you are looking for here.
    Thanks
