I am trying to calculate CAGR - compound annual growth rate - for an investing idea:

My final investment figure is $10,000
I started with zero, but put in £5,500 over 5 years.

How would I calculate CAGR (5 years, $5,500-> $10,000)

See the RATE help page. The key is: enter signed cash flows, for example negative PV and positive FV.
