Transpose variable based on 2 conditions

I've attached a dummy workbook with consisting of 3 variables (id, major_cat, category). Assuming that it is sorted by id and major_cat [desc], what I'm trying to accomplish is a conditional transposition of column C to D,E,F based on id and if major category is "y".
For example:

id	major_cat	category	cat1	cat2	cat3
1	y	car	car	toy	box
1	n	toy	car	toy	box
1	n	box	car	toy	box
2	y	box	box	toy
2	n	toy	box	toy

Granted this is a example and the actual data set is thousands of rows with more than 4 categories. Thanks in advance.
