Change the text shown in one cell based on the data in multiple others on the same row

Let me begin by saying that I know next to nothing about Excel. I've dabbled and, with the help of the good people here, have figured out a formula / function before. With those, I had an existing broken formula / function to base my questions on. This one is a new idea of my own. Be afraid... I will try to explain this as well as I can.

I have columns A through AB and rows 2 through 258 so far. Column I is for "Current Status". Columns K through Y are formatted to allow dates in D/M/YY format. What I would like is for the worksheet to give a response in column I based on what dates are entered in K through Y. I have uploaded (I hope) an example. The dates should progress from left to right with no empty cells.

What I would like is if there is a date in columns K through R the response in column I would be "Development I/P".
If there is a date in column T, the response would be "SWC Review".
If there is a date in column U, the response would be "Revising for SWC"
If there is a date in column V, the response would be "SWC Approved".

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've googled myself blue in the face and I haven't found anything like this anywhere.

    Edit:

I forgot to mention that columns W through Y would each have a different response as well. Once I get the gist of the formula I should be able to take it from there. I also need to know where to put each formula within the worksheet. Thanks again!

    In I4 and copied down:

Each "reserved" is where you would enter columns W through Y response, respectively.

Thanks for the fast response jhren! I tried it and it works through column S. Any date entered after that gives "reserved" as a response. I changed reserved to, "ChoiceA", "ChoiceB" and "ChoiceC" but each entry after making that change gave the result of "ChoiceC".

If it helps to clarify matters, the columns should give the results below.

    Column T: SWC Review
    Column U: Revising for SWC
    Column V: SWC Approved
    Column W: Dept 200 Review
Column X: Revising for Dept 200
    Column Y: Dept 200 Approved

    We don't count disapproved results.

If it matters, I *was* using conditional formatting to put a pull-down menu in column I with those choices but our staff rarely remember to change the status and I keep having to go back and review every line, that is why I wanted to try this. If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them! Thanks again!

Can't help with the "ChoiceC" issue from here without knowing exactly what you did or didn't do.

    Works for me. See attached.

Thanks jhren! I see what I did wrong now. I hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter rather than just hitting enter. If you look at the formulas in column AA, that is an array (I think) and I learned the hard way to Ctrl+Shift+Enter for those and did it for this one without thinking. Without it, it works just fine! Thank you!

You can achieve the same result in AA with this formula...

Just regular entry. It performs an array calculation within, but does not require [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[Enter] confirmation.
