Find biggest value from array of data

Good day friends, looking for a solution to one problem. for example we have two columns containing data:

USA 5
USA 8
USA 9
CHINA 5
CHINA 5
CHINA 5
INDIA 9
INDIA 4

I would like to create a pivot table and automatically assing a highest value. for instance:

USA 9
CHINA 5
INDIA 9

Yes Glenn. That looks great. How to do that? Is that just using Pivot table tool?

Yes. Insert Pivot Table. Put Country in Row label and No in Sum values. Then us evalue field settings in the sum values box to change the field paramter to MAX.

CHINA 5 A
CHINA 5 A
CHINA 5 B
INDIA 9 A
INDIA 4 B


And I again need MAX number but it must also satisfy category A. Is it possible with pivot table?
