Please Help. I have a spreadsheet that I can't do anything to it. There is what looks like looking through a scope with cross hairs and, all I can do is move the spreadsheet around. Re: Please Help, Excel spreadsheet

6Stringjazzer, I am sorry to bug you again, but where do you go to add a new post? I know I add one but I cannot finder where I went to get there. Also how do you attach a file to a post. Most place I use show you new post and you click on it, you do not have to look for it. Again I thank you for your time.

At the bottom of the thread is a "Quick Reply" box. You can type you response there and then click "Post Quick Reply" underneath to post. If you want to attach a file:
    1. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button.
    2. In the next screen look above the reply box and click the "paper clip" icon. You will get a pop-up screen.
    3. In the pop-up, click Add then Select to select a file from your local drive
    4. Click the Upload button to upload the file
    5. Click Done to attach it.

It will be displayed as an attachment underneath your post text. Alternatively as the last step you can click the Insert Inline button and a hyperlink to the file will be inserted directly into your post text in the spot where your cursor is set at the moment you click the button.

Here are step-by-step instructions with screen shots

That's because the data is a picture.

Somebody was being cute. To elaborate on shg's point, your file has a single image in it that is a screenshot from an Excel worksheet.

You cannot recover the original data from that.

Shg, I thank you for your help on the scope can't edit. You say there is no way to recover this file? I cannot understand how this happened, because I have been using this file for many years.

You can't recover the data directly from the image. The only idea I have is to import the image into OCR software and see if it can read it. I tried it but my OCR software is pretty old and it crashed when I tried.
