    Matching data to dates

Hi guys, wondering if you can help

Column 'A' has a list of dates 1st Jan through to 31st Dec, but over in column 'J' I have a list of various dates that relate to a % value (occupancy). So I may have 11th Jan, followed by a jump to 13th Feb. In column 'K' I have the % value.

What I want to achieve is that in column 'B' returns the value of 'K' only when matching the date. So for instance 1st Jan is not listed in 'J' so a zero/ null returned. But when the date is listed in 'J' the value will be displayed in B. I need it to display both null and valid value in column 'B'.

I hope this makes sense, and hopefully someone can help

    Thanks

The explanation isn't too clear... but does this get close?

Place this code in the top of Column B and drag-down:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
The VLOOKUP searches for the date in column A, in column J. If, found, the value from column K is returned.
IFERROR leaves the cell blank when the #N/A error is thrown when the date in column J is not found.
