    Vlookup up or index match

    Please help,

I need a problem with returning right data in Sheet File for posting column C.

In sheet HRK column C is Vendor Name and column M has Transaction Type. Sheet MP contains mapping information (Column A Transaction Type, Column B Vendor Name, Column C - Vendor Account Number).

In column C of Sheet File for posting there should be Vendor Account number (criterias are columns C nad column M in sheet HRK).

If in sheet HRK cells C4 and C5 contain Laniste and cell M4=P and M5=D, then in sheet File for posting cell C4=1100000004 and cell C5=2200000052.

    Attached is file.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Try the following array formula in "File for Posting" sheet C2:

A non-array alternative (faster if there are LOTS of rows), which also removes the possibility of ambiguous answers should two concatenation strings yield the same result (11 and 22 versus 112 and 2, which would both yield 1122)

I prefer non-array alternative. It works great! Thank you!
