Using Match, Index and concatate to populate a fixture table.

    Hi Smart people,

I will admit, this one is a little confusing for me and I need some assistance.

    Comp List.JPG

I am trying to create a fixture table like in the image, but using the results as formatted below it.

I have completed everything else but would like to add this bit to my over all data entry.

I have tried various combinations on Match, Index mixed with Concatate... but I seem to get odd results.

Can anyone help me with an explanation on how I should be ordering these things..

basically, I am trying to have excell find:

the row labeled team A and then the column labeled Team B.
Search the results that I type in as below the table.
And then concatate them into the fixture table.

Am I trying something crazy or can it be done?

Thank you all in advance for any assistance.

Hi there... and welcome to the Excel Forum. I can only see the score for ONE side for each match.... You have attached an image. That's not very easy to work with. We have to re-type your information before we can begin to address your problem. That will put a lot of people off completely. Please attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is enough data to demonstrate your need. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
