Question Convert number to equivalent time when typed in

    Hi

I have a time tracking spreadsheet where I want to have a sort of validation where the user can type 12 in a cell and when they press enter it changes automatically to 12:00
Anyone know how I can achieve this?

    TIA

Re: Convert number to equivalent time when typed in

Is the user liable to enter minutes as well?
If so, how will the user 12hrs 15min?

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Likely that would happen as 1215 or 12.15

Anyone got any ideas? I found a number format that showed 00\:00 and I thought that worked, but then you can't enter something as 13:00 as it changes to 00:01

So what's wrong with 12: which Excel enters as 12:00; 12:5 which Excel enters as 12:05, etc?
