Good Afternoon,
If I have a database of employees addresses, how can I tally the number of people who live by state in sheet two?
I was trying =count(B33, Contacts!K:K) but that is returning a value of 0.
Thanks!

Try =COUNTIF(Contacts!K:K,B33) where B33 contains the name of the state that you wish to count... This will work if coumn K contains ONLY the state name and not a pile of other stuff. If thi is NOT what you want, please attach an Excel sheet.
