Day Count/Holding Period Analysis

Hi,

I am trying to figure out why my quarterly Holding period analysis is different from just a simple formula of subtracting the (End Date-Start Date). Any help figuring this out would be great. One of the two ways is incorrect I believe. Thanks.

Are you asking why P5 and Q5 are different from P10 and Q10?

No. Why p5, and q5 are different from m5, and m10

I think I figured it out. the start and end date has to be the same in each quarter. So, instead of 1/1/13, have to do 12/31/12
