Formula for vacation days earned annualy with additional days at a milestone

I currently need help calculating a formula which will generate the number of vacation days earned under the following conditions:

• 10 days for each year of service beginning on the one year anniversary of service
• 15 days for each year of service beginning on the 10 year anniversary of service

The table currently includes (in this order) employee name, date of hire, current date, years worked (I have already developed a formula for the years worked), days earned, days used, current balance. I simply need to create a formula for the days earned column which will automatically update along with my current formula in order to calculate days earned with the given information.

It would probably help if you can post a desensitized version of the worksheet? Seeing the formula you already have for years worked may help in developing a "days earned" formula that has continuity.

I'm a little confused. Do you mean that you accrue 10 days holiday each year for the first 10 years of service?

So once you've completed about 28 years of service you never have to come to work again?

I think, because the employer I used to work for used the same wording, that it means for years two through ten you are allowed 10 paid vacation days per year. Starting with year eleven you get 15 vacation days per year. I can relate to the second part of your post however, because after thirty-five years I do not have to go to work (for them) again.

Yes, you are correct. I am just an intern here; however, employees here earn ten days each year beginning on the one year anniversary of their employment. After 15 years, employees begin to gain 15 vacation days a year.
