Formula that updates the first blank row

    Hello guys,

I am struggling to find a solution for my report and I need your help.
Basically what I am trying to do is get the Topic name from Posts worksheet (column A) to Tracker worksheet (column B) but only if the status in Posts worksheet is "Research".

The solution could be easy with IF statement but I need the topics name one after another. I managed to create a VBA formula that finds the first blank row but I couldn't find a solution in order to bring the topic name to the first blank row in Tracker worksheet.

    To summarize:
    - change the status to "Research" in Posts worksheet -> get the topic name Tracker worksheet (first blank row in column B).

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you!

You don't need to use a macro, you could do something like this:

Re: Formula that updates the first blank row

    Hello again,

I have just noticed that this report has an issue. For example, if I select "Research" in row 11 it will automatically update the tracker with the topic (The history of outsourcing). But then if i select "Research" on row 10 it will update the tracker and move the previous (The history of outsourcing) one row down.
Is it a way to add in column A (Posts worksheet) the maximum number +1 when selecting research? For the previous example, when I select "Research" on row 10 after previously selecting "Research" on row 11 i need to get number 12.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you!
