Adding communities to zipcodes:

Hello,

I have following problem:

List 1: list with 3 colums: data, communities, zipcodes
List 2: list with 2 colums: comparable data and zipcodes

I would like to add the correct names of the communities to the zipcodes in “list 2”

(the zipcodes in list 2 are (mostly) the same as the zipcode in list 1. So there’s no need in searching externally for zipcodes/communities)

Any suggestions?

You can either use something like =LOOKUP(B2,Sheet1!$C$2:$C$4,Sheet1!$B$2:$B$4) or Index & Match

In which sheet do you exactly need the formula?

If you need in Sheet List 2, use this in cell B2 - =VLOOKUP(A2,'list 1'!$A$1:$C$81,3,0)

If you need in Sheet List 1, use this in cell C2 - =VLOOKUP(A2,'list 2'!$A$1:$B$33,2,0)
