    MIN(IF "Stops Evaluating Criteria Problem"

    Excel.jpg

    Hello,

    Having problems with =MIN(IF formula as it appears to stop evaluating?

    SUM Array works fine.

    {=-SUM(IF((TB!$B$2:$B$50000={"0151-0000","0154-0000","0155-0000","0162-0000","0163-0000","0164-0000"})*(TB!$A$2:$A$50000<=$F$6)*(TB!$A$2:$A$50000>EOMONTH($F$6,-V$6)),TB!$H$2:$H$50000))}

    The MIN Array below which is same Function Syntax as above only evaluates or considers "0151-0000" and ignores everything else. Hopefully I have provided sufficient details to help with this problem any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

    {=-MIN(IF((TB!$B$2:$B$50000={"0151-0000","0154-0000","0155-0000","0162-0000","0163-0000","0164-0000"})*(TB!$A$2:$A$50000<=$F$6)*(TB!$A$2:$A$50000>EOMONTH($F$6,-V$6)),TB!$H$2:$H$50000))}

    Re: MIN(IF "Stops Evaluating Criteria Problem"

    Hi.

    I see nothing whatsoever wrong with your construction.

    Why is the result not what you would expect? As it stands, that formula will take into account all values in the array being considered for column B in the TB sheet, not just, as you say, "0151-0000".

    Perhaps posting a workbook would be of benefit.

    Edit: do you perhaps have some empty cells in column H?

    Re: MIN(IF "Stops Evaluating Criteria Problem"

    If I sum by GL# 0151-0000 for each month for the 36 Month period I am looking at and highlight the cells the MAX will be
    the same number I get when I have all the other GL#s in the formula.

    So the formula does work but it is treating each GL# separately.
    For some reason I was thinking it would SUM them first and then do MIN.

    Thanks for the help.
