Find and add every instance of a value

Hello,

I imagine that this is relatively simple. I have a sheet
A:A = dates
B:B = the corresponding day of the week for the date in A
C:C = a total number of items for each day
I2:O2 = SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY...FRIDAY
in I3:O3 I would like the formula to look for the SUM of the total number of C (items) for each B (day of the week)

Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance


EDITED TO ADD: If H3:H14 could = JANUARY, FEBRUARY... and the formula in I3:I14 could look for the total for the specific day of the week for each month based on A
