so I want to use a simple countifs formula to count how many cells contain a figure between 2 ranges. The cells contain 4 decimal points such as 1.2951
The formula I'm using is countifs(a1:d25,<="1.2951"a1:d25,>="1.2954")
But I know there is 1 result in the range of data but it's always coming back as 0. Any help as to why it isn't working? All the cells are formatted to number as well.

Try it like this:
=countifs(a1:d25,">=1.2951",a1:d25,"<=1.2954")

=COUNTIFS(A1:D25,">=1.2951",A1:D25,"<=1.2954")
I think you might have your <= => the wrong way around? Because you're looking for numbers that are both under 1.2951 and over 1.2954, which is impossible?
=COUNTIFS(A1:D25,">="&1.2951,A1:D25,"<="&1.2954)
Thanks Pete. It randomly is still coming back as 0. I can't see really why it isn't working.
Use this instead:
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:D25>=1.2951)*(A1:D25<=1.2954))
It'll do the job.
