How to combine 2 or more data cells in one cell

    Hello,

I search s formula that in LOCATION column(G2,G3,G4,etc) from Sheet1 to show the location of COF ID and the nr. of BUC from that location, and if the COF ID is in multiple location to show all location and the nr. buc from each location.

In Sheet2 is a data base table with location, cof id, description etc and a pivot table(that help me to count all COF ID that are in one location)

    Hi V!o,

I think the best way to do this is with a User Designed Function.

See Attached. vio - Combine 2.xlsm

I hope this helps, please let me know!

    Regards,

    David

    Hi V!o,

The UDF requires a macro enabled file. You will have to save the file as XLSM, and store a copy of the macro in the file itself.

ALTERNATIVELY, copy the function GETLOC() into your PERSONAL.XLSB file, then when you use the macro enter it as ='PERSONAL.XLSB'!GetLoc(A2) etc.

    Regards,

    David

Re: How to combine 2 or more data cells in one cell

    Hello David,

I use your macro like as template and it works perfect and is very helpful.

I have a new question: it is possible to sort (A->Z) data from every cell that is on column "F" (LOCATION) ?... something like sort data into cell

SOLVED: I must sort location data (a-z) from pivot table and the data from every cell "F" from sheet 1 will be sorted automatically.

    Thanks !!

Re: How to combine 2 or more data cells in one cell

    Hello,

    I have another question...

It's that possible as location (column J) from sheet 2 that are repeated to be underlined in sheet 1,column D?
Conditional formating is not helping me in this case because in sheet 1 column D is a formula(macro).

    Thanks
